ITP software for passive fire

WNDW keeps your passive fire ITP on site, penetration by penetration. Each penetration from your register is ticked through install, photo before close-up and label, so the evidence exists before the ceiling goes on — and each level is signed off by your foreman and the builder. New for passive fire contractors: from $99 a month per project, 14 days free.

What does a passive fire ITP track?

An example — stages are set to your job and the builder's ITP.

  1. Tagged in the register — service, size, wall or slab and required FRL checked against your penetration register.
  2. Tested system selected — the system that matches the penetration and the FRL.
  3. Installed — with who did it and when.
  4. Photo before close-up — taken in the app at the penetration, date and location burned in.
  5. Label fixed — at the penetration.
  6. Installer's statement recorded — for your paperwork.
  7. Ready for inspection — for the builder or certifier to check.

Why does the photo before close-up matter?

Fire stopping disappears behind ceilings and into risers within days. When the certifier, the builder or a regulator asks how a penetration was sealed, the answer has to come from the record, not from someone opening the ceiling back up. A dated photo, taken in the app at the penetration before close-up, is that record.

What will the builder and certifier still need?

Your penetration register, the tested system for each penetration, your installer's statements and the certifier's inspection all sit outside WNDW. In Australia these come from the NCC, AS 4072.1 and the fire-resistance testing behind AS 1530.4, and from your state's rules. WNDW doesn't issue certificates or compliance statements — it records that each step was done, by whom and when, with photos, so your paperwork has evidence behind it.

Does it cope with the counts on a passive fire job?

Passive fire jobs carry thousands of penetrations. Each one is an item on its level, set up from your register in a spreadsheet, and a foreman ticks a stage with one tap — even in a riser with no reception. We set WNDW up in your trade's words, so your crew and your ITP say penetrations, not openings.

WNDW is the subcontractor's record. It helps you keep evidence. It doesn't replace the builder's QA, certifier inspections or compliance certificates.

What does it cost?

From $99 a month per project, sized by the job and capped per project. Unlimited users. No setup fees. 14 days free. A job with 2,000 penetrations costs no more than the project cap. See pricing.

Questions people ask

Can WNDW handle thousands of penetrations?

Yes. Each penetration is one item on its level, set up from a spreadsheet, and the foreman ticks each stage with one tap. Pricing is capped per project, so the count does not blow out the bill.

Does a WNDW record replace the certifier's sign-off?

No. It's your record of the work: who installed each penetration, when, and the photo before close-up. Certifier inspections and compliance documents still come from the certifier and your tested-system paperwork.

Can we use our register numbers?

Yes. Each penetration's code and location come from your register, so the ITP and the register line up.

Does the builder need an account to sign?

The builder signs from an emailed link in their phone's browser — no app, no account.
